On the 4th March 1945, SOE agents, Johan Malling (“Byron”) and Poul Hammerich (“Vicar”) were airdropped at Ryegård near Roskilde. They were the last two agents to be airdropped in Denmark. They landed well albeit in the trees. The agents were driven immediately to Roskilde. The jump was observed by the Germans and seen by the people at the Valborup drop zone. The agents arrived in Copenhagen the following day. Hammerich was directly associated with the SOE leader, Ole Lippman, where he served as a loyal courier working over the whole of Zealand until the liberation. Malling was sent to Jutland, where he tried to reconcile the Jutland Leader, Vagn Bennike and the Airdispatch Leader, Tolstrup.
