The German bomb disposal unit assessed that the explosive charge had been approx. 2½ kilos, and had been lying on a brick pillar at the entrance to the basement of this address. The unit had been summoned as it was feared that more bombs were in the rubble. However, no more bombs were found. The worst areas hit by the explosion were an office and warehouse which sold baking machines, and a cigarette shop located in the basement. All windows in the property and part of the adjoining properties were also shattered.
