The company delivered train wagons etc. to Germany. Saboteurs with local knowledge singled out the target -this was to be the factory's large turntable. If destroyed, it would obstruct the delivery of four ‘ready for delivery’ locomotives. Six men took part in the attack. The guard was held up and three charges were placed on and under the turntable. During the explosion, rails and undercarriages were destroyed.
