The laundry was a new building under construction for the Wehrmacht. An explosive charge had been planted at the western external wall on the ground floor. The explosion had broken the beam in the floor separation between the living room and the basement. All partition walls and exterior walls were cracked. The saboteurs had free access to the building, as the doors could not yet be locked.
