The exhibition hall was seized by the Wehrmacht and was to be used as barracks for 2,000 German soldiers. The remodelling was already underway. Disguised as craftsmen, "Tom" and “Ewald” went into the Forum during the lunch break and held up the actual craftsmen...
The exhibition hall was seized by the Wehrmacht and was to be used as barracks for 2,000 German soldiers. The remodelling was already underway. Disguised as craftsmen, "Tom" and “Ewald” went into the Forum during the lunch break and held up the actual craftsmen. An empty beer crate containing an explosive charge was planted in the middle of the hall. Due to a misunderstanding, the bomb was set off too early, causing "Tom" to be injured in the explosion. The Forum was totally destroyed and demolished after the war.
