The company traded with the Wehrmacht and had been featured in illegal magazines. The sabotage was aimed partly towards the paper goods warehouse and partly towards the transformer station which supplied the company with electricity. The paper warehouse was set on fire with the help of firebombs, and an explosive charge (probably of English origin) was planted under the roof of the transformer. In the explosion, the roof ripped off and splintered, and the gable to the neighbouring building was scorched up to the 3rd floor. Several heavy cables were also torn, and both the door and the door frame were ripped out of the masonry.
