The cable was cut in three different places over a distance of approximately 500 metres. There were, therefore, three different crime scenes. The first two places both appeared to have been cut accidentally by a snow clearer and a heavy-duty work truck respectively. However, the third location had evidence of being cut and pulled apart, so there was a greater suspicion of sabotage.
