Charring on the floor near the hotbed. Based on this the police thought that there had been used a flammable liquid, most likely kerosene as means of ignition.

Fire set to the Grain & Feed Company’s shed D, which the Wehrmacht had rented for the storage of items such as oak planks. In the attack, petroleum was used as an igniter.
