One of the tailors’ jobs was to sew uniforms for the Wehrmacht. A team of saboteurs planted several firebombs and set fire to the building. One of the premises was rented out to Siemens, so it was full of chemicals and electrical articles - this room was where the fire started. The company had also previously been targets of sabotage.
