The machine factory Alvis, which employed 10-12 men, worked both directly and indirectly for the Wehrmacht. The factory was located in a backyard surrounded by a housing complex and did not have a sabotage guard. At 7 pm, six pistol-armed saboteurs blew the door to the workshop and planted explosive bombs on the four most important machines. The number of explosives used was far too much, which resulted in the 4-storey building being completely demolished. The surrounding buildings were also badly damaged; doors and windows were blown out and many residents had to be evacuated. Nine people had to be treated for shocks and cuts at the hospital emergency room. An added benefit was that the printing press above Alvis was also destroyed - and an edition of Ejner Krenchel's anti-sabotage pamphlet was ruined.
