The factory used most of the warehouse themselves, but a smaller part at the northern end was rented out to the Wehrmacht to store furniture. All furniture and buildings including the oil factory's warehouse storing approx. 700 tons of oilseeds were totally destroyed in the flames...
The factory used most of the warehouse themselves, but a smaller part at the northern end was rented out to the Wehrmacht to store furniture. All furniture and buildings including the oil factory's warehouse storing approx. 700 tons of oilseeds were totally destroyed in the flames. This was the city's first sabotage attack since 29th August 1943.
