There were probably two explosive charges used in the sabotage. One charge was placed on the floor in the blacksmith's workshop, where a hole of approximately 20 cm in diameter was found. The other charge was placed on a turning lathe. In the explosions, the roof, gate, doors and windows were blasted and a variety of tools and materials were thrown around the workshop. The blast also tore several pieces off the turning lathe.
