The factory did not work directly for the Wehrmacht but supplied goods to several machine factories which did. The state of emergency in the days of the August uprising made police work increasingly difficult. Nevertheless, it was revealed that an explosive charge had been thrown through a window at one of the company's workshops (the hardening workshop), and the building was completely destroyed.
