The saboteurs were turned away at the gate by the sabotage guards. While attempting to enter the company, co-owner and sabotage guard Kai Michael Skovgaard-Mortensen was shot and killed. He had slammed the gate door shut and refused to open it. When he went to grab Martensen's gun, Martensen shot him.
