The company had previously produced police uniforms, but for the past 3 months had sewn uniforms for HIPO and the Summer Corps. Four saboteurs armed with machine guns forced their way into the sewing rooms and drove the 70 sewing ladies out of the premises. Afterwards, they tossed some cloth on the floor, poured petrol over it and then ignited it. The fire created several small explosions and the company's sewing rooms were totally destroyed.
