The factory worked exclusively for the Wehrmacht. The factory had expanded its workforce and now worked 24 hours a day. The factory was heavily guarded with armed sabotage guards with dogs, and a guard in an armoured tower at the entrance. A direct attack was therefore not possible. Three saboteurs disguised as policemen and CB officers held up the guards, thereafter the rest of the group entered the factory and planted a large 50 kg bomb in the middle of the production hall. The workers were commanded to go into the company’s bomb shelter and subsequently, the fuse was lit. The street was blocked off at both ends, but nonetheless, a night watchman inadvertently came through the barricades and was killed in the explosion.
