The factory worked for the Wehrmacht. The workers were held up by eight saboteurs, who then planted several firebombs. At the same time, other saboteurs were trying to force their way into Madsen & Beidil which was at the same location, but here there was a shootout and they had to give up. With the office manager and his employees detained in a garage in the yard, the saboteurs could plant more firebombs on the workshop premises, of which at least three went off. The German Bomb disposal unit was called after an unexploded bomb was found at the site after the fire had been extinguished.
