The company worked exclusively for the Wehrmacht. BOPA had contact with workers at the factory, and it was through these means that over a period of time, explosives were smuggled into the factory - a total of 70-75 kg TNT. As it was such a large bomb, the factory’s management was warned in advance by phone, so the workers could get out. But no alarm was given. However, a rumour spread through the factory, and the workers got together in groups to discuss what to do. However, a foreman prevented some of the workers from leaving the area, so when the explosion happened, both workers and German guards were killed or injured. The building was badly damaged.
