With the help of two saboteurs familiar with the location, a “rejsegruppe” (a travelling group) from Aarhus planted 14 bombs in the company's halls. Most of the machines in the workshop were destroyed, not least by the rapid cooling after the fire. Shortly after the attack, Leif Dines Petersen and Poul Mackeprang Nielsen were arrested along with two other participants. They were interrogated and executed in Ryvangen a month later.
