Late in the morning, five armed saboteurs sneaked into the company wearing work clothes and carrying a fake delivery note. After holding up the guards, two lathes were blown up, which had just been produced for the Wehrmacht. The building itself suffered only minor damage. The saboteurs had indicated that two explosive charges had been planted, so when only one exploded it was feared that there might be more devices in the factory - the bomb disposal unit later removed an unexploded bomb from the machine hall.
