The Cold Store stored goods for the Ministry of Agriculture’s Meat and Cattle Committee, who then resold this meat to the occupying Germans. The cold store's machine room was destroyed by a powerful 8kg explosive charge which had been planted on one of the company's four compressors...

The Cold Store stored goods for the Ministry of Agriculture’s Meat and Cattle Committee, who then resold this meat to the occupying Germans. The cold store's machine room was destroyed by a powerful 8kg explosive charge which had been planted on one of the company's four compressors. In the explosion, the cylinder head on the compressor was broken and all windows in the hall were shattered.
