The company repaired vehicles for the Wehrmacht. The sabotage was aimed directly at one of the German vehicles, but due to the unusual strength of the explosion, the building also suffered major damage. Seven armed men stopped the night guards and planted the explosive charge. Before planting the explosive, one of the night guards had been required to hand over his uniform. Parts of the broken vehicle were scattered throughout the hall and several other cars were damaged. Windows and doors were shattered on both cars and in the building. The roof, especially above the blast site, had been lifted from its foundation.
