A saboteur threatened the property owner with a gun outside the building, declaring that "now the bomb is detonating". However, the operation partly failed. The saboteurs had tried to throw the explosive charge through a window that was lined with a plywood panel. But instead of exploding inside the building, the explosive charge dropped into a basement just below the window where it exploded. All the windows in the factory building and the front yard were broken and part of the woodwork was damaged.
