Intro

The date is uncertain, as the receipt is only mentioned in postwar reports. 12 Tiger-containers and one package were dropped. An S-phone was used at the drop zone, so there was radio contact with the aircraft. The containers landed nearby on a soft turnip field.

The plane airdropped 12 Tiger-containers and one package. It was a successful reception, despite adverse weather conditions. During a return flight, the plane - an American B-24 Liberator - was hit by flak and crashed at Skjern. The navigator was killed, 5 crew members were captured by the Germans, and 2 were transported to Sweden by the resistance movement.

For security reasons, the reception command on Funen chose to cancel all receipts. Nonetheless, London announced that an airdrop would take place. The plane was "directed home" by just one man. The remaining reception team stayed at home.

The reception team were at the drop zone, but because of bad weather, the airdrop was called off. The drop zone leader sent an angry report to the Funen reception leader, complaining that the team had not been informed of the time change, so the team had waited pointlessly for several hours in the wind, rain and snow.
