Intro

The drop zone was reconnoitred during the summer of 1944 by local people. The plane dropped 12 containers with carbines, stun guns, PIAT (anti-tank) and explosives. The consignment was placed in the barn at Børglum Abbey. The airdrop was the first successful reception in Vensyssel.

No plane was seen at the drop zone. People had to leave the drop zone, as there were German patrols in the area. The English report indicates that the plane circled 3 times over the drop zone without making an airdrop.
