After circulating the drop zone 4-5 times, the plane airdropped 18 Fox-containers and 4 packs of guns and hand grenades. Dropped badly but everything was collected. Three containers fell without a parachute and were crushed - this destroyed 35 carbines...
After circulating the drop zone 4-5 times, the plane airdropped 18 Fox-containers and 4 packs of guns and hand grenades. Dropped badly but everything was collected. Three containers fell without a parachute and were crushed - this destroyed 35 carbines. The consignment consisted of 2 machine guns, 2 PIAT (anti-tank), 110 carbines, 400 hand grenades, 20 gammon grenades and 15 pistols.
