A 138 Squadron Stirling aircraft was seen over the site at 23:30. The cargo of 12 Tiger-containers was dropped from a height of 170 metres. A container was damaged in the fall because the parachute had not opened. The shipment was unpacked at the lime works, and the empty containers were lowered into the lime pit. The consignment was sent later to Region III (Southern Jutland).

The plane – an American B-24 Liberator – airdropped 12 Lion-containers and 2 packages of grenade and guns. Some of the consignment was damaged as many of the containers had broken into several pieces. The contents were also scattered over a large area. The majority was collected. The consignment was later sent to Region III (Southern Jutland)

The team was at the drop zone but the plane – a Halifax – was hit many times by flak on the way in over the coast. The damage was serious, but the plane continued towards the drop zone. The crew unsuccessfully spent 34 minutes trying to locate the drop zone. The plane was attacked by German night fighters and had to abort the mission and return to England.
