The team was at the drop zone but no plane was seen. According to the English report, the plane did not make it back to England. The plane, Stirling LK 312 from 161 Squadron, crashed into Lim Fjord by Livø on the way to the drop zone. The whole crew perished...

The team was at the drop zone but no plane was seen. According to the English report, the plane did not make it back to England. The plane, Stirling LK 312 from 161 Squadron, crashed into Lim Fjord by Livø on the way to the drop zone. The whole crew perished. The pilot of the aircraft, Wing Commander M.A. Brogan, was found in Lim Fjord and was buried at Fjerritslev cemetery. Radiotelegraphists, H.O. Sharman, was found on the beach at Bygholm Vejler and is buried at Fjerritslev. Four of the other crew members were buried in Løgstør and one crew member in Sejrslev on Mors.
