Intro
Shortly after arriving at the drop zone, an aeroplane flew over the drop zone and the lights at the drop zone were then switched on. The group then realised that they had signalled to a German night fighter. The team quickly left the drop zone for security reasons.

The Stoholm Group and the Viborg Group

The group consisted of local people from Stoholm. The English plane flew over the drop zone and the lights at the drop zone were switched on. The plane made a turn and flew in low throwing out 6 containers. The containers were hidden in a plantation until the following day. They were then emptied and brought to Finderup where they were hidden in a vicarage.

The plane flew over the drop zone, but on the second approach it was attacked by German night fighters. The English aircraft abandoned the mission and disappeared, pursued by the German night hunter. The fate of the aircraft is uncertain. The team had to leave the drop zone without meeting their objective. As a result of the arrest of two SOE agents in Aarhus in December 1943, six members of the Stoholm group were arrested and received severe punishment. Helmer Wøldike was executed on 12th June 1944.
