English bomber (Short Stirling) airdrops containers to Annebjerg south of Grenå on 30 September 1944. The photograph is considered to be genuine.

The plane airdropped 12 Fox-containers with 180 carbines. One of the participants, Henning Hansen, has since described the reception: ”After the reception, it took a few hours to move the goods from the drop zone and hide them within the drop zone area. It was hard work". The airdrop was photographed by a member of the reception group. It is one of the few authentic photos of an airdrop in Denmark.

The reception team was in place, but because of errors made in the signalling to the aircraft, the dispatch was not dropped. Shortly afterwards, the shipment was airdropped to the wrong location. As a consequence, all 12 Lion containers and 2 packages - one with grenades and one with silenced pistols (Welrod) were taken by the Germans.
